Our Team

A Texan through and through, Dr. Jackson moved to the Atlanta area in 2012. She worked a retail eyecare store for a few years before deciding to open her practice cold in 2015. 

Dr. Jackson received her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry (Go Coogs!) and bachelor’s from Baylor University (Sic ‘Em Bears!!). During her time in school, Dr. Jackson presided over several organizations committed to academics and community service and was heavily involved in research, presenting at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). She is currently a member of the Georgia Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Cornea and Contact Lens Society, the Gas Permeable Lens Institute, the International Keratoconus Academy and the Vision Source network of private practice optometrists.

Dr. Jackson has experience in many branches of eye care including glaucoma and diabetic eye care. She co-manages LASIK and cataract surgery, and has received extra certifications in fitting specialty contact lenses. Her current passion is hard-to-fit contacts for patients with keratoconus and other cornea disorders. 

In her free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys discovering new foods, being outdoors, and spending time with her family in their South Fulton home.

Shyesha hails from Dallas, TX and has lived in the South Fulton area for 8 years. She is very passionate about eye care and has been in the optical field for over 12 years. She is currently apprenticing under Dr. Jackson to obtain her optician’s license. She is a lipstick fanatic and loves spending time with her nephews in her spare time.

Megan Williams is originally from Valdosta, GA born and raised. She moved to the metro Atlanta area in July of 2018. Megan's passions include reading, teaching, cooking and singing. Before joining the Jackson Eye team, Megan was a Pre-K teacher for 3 years! Now she is working to become a licensed optician so that she can continue to grow and learn in this field for years to come!

Born and raised in Atlanta area, Raquel started her journey into eye care field in 2021. Her interest in optometry was piqued after an eye exam. She asked the eye doctor how to get started working in the industry and was hired on the spot. Raquel has enjoyed learning about eye health and vision and is looking forward to becoming a certified optometric technician in the future.
